To provide an insight into the nuances of Intellectual Property, its use in business and R&D development.

The seminar will start with the session "IP Risks in product/process development" by Dr. Kalyan C Kankanala, CKO, Brain League IP Services and alumni of NLSIU, Bangalore and Franklin Pierce Law Centre, USA. The session will provide an in-depth understanding of IP risks in product/process development, risks involved for a company from others IP, avoiding IP risks, steps to be taken to prevent IP loss, Case examples.

The second session "Intellectual Property and R& D strategies" will be delivered by Mr. Anil Suraj, Professor IIM, Bangalore. This Session will dwell with issues like Value of IP in R&D, protecting outcome of R&D, IP policy and R&D strategy.

The third session on "IP excavation,IP filing methods and filing strategies" will be delivered by Mr. Vikram Pratap Singh Thakur. This session will touch upon topics like harnessing and harvesting inventions, analyzing patentability of inventions for patent filing, filing options and strategies.

The fourth session is on "Recent trends in Patents" by Mr. Nishant Kewalramani, Portfolio Manager, Brain League IP Services, alumni of NLU-Jodhpur and Franklin Pierce Law Centre, USA. This Session will provide an understanding of recent trends in Patents. The session will touch upon case studies to explain certain decisions delivered by Courts in the recent past and their effect on Intellectual Property practice.

The final session is the Panel discussion and Counseling with the team of experts. This session will provide the participants with an opportunity to have a one to one discussion to address specific issues pertaining to Intellectual Property.

The participants can fix meetings with experts from Brain League to discuss their issues and questions relating to Intellectual Property. For effective counseling, the questions may be provided in advance.
