The seminar will start with the session “Managing use of Open Source Software in Business” by Dr. Kalyan C Kankanala, CKO, Brain League IP Services and alumni of NLSIU, Bangalore and Franklin Pierce Law Centre, USA. The session will provide an in-depth understanding of Open Source Software, its use in business, Flexibilities and Limitations, Compliance and Strategy. The session will also provide detail information about Risk analysis and management.

The second session “Tackling Patent Risks in OSS” will be delivered by Mr. Nishant Kewalramani, Portfolio Manager, Brain League IP Services, alumni of NLU-Jodhpur and Franklin Pierce Law Centre, USA. This Session will provide an insight into patent risks and mechanisms for handling the same. The session will touch upon Risks from developer, Risks from third parties, Case studies on patent risks, Risk Management and Strategy and so on.

The final session is the Panel discussion and Counseling with the team of experts. This session will provide the participants with an opportunity to have a one to one discussion to address specific issues pertaining to use of OSS in business. .

The participants can fix meetings with experts from Brain League to discuss their issues and questions relating to OSS. For effective counseling, the questions may be provided in advance.
