Takeaways
from the seminar
The objective of the seminar is to provide an understanding
of the business value of IP and related risks to companies.
The seminar will start with a session on Clearance of IP
Risks by Dr. Kalyan Kankanala, Chief Knowledge Officer,
Brain League IP services; who will deal with steps to be
taken by companies for avoiding IP Risks. The session will
cover risks to companies from various types of IP such as
patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, designs and
so on. In this session, the participants will learn about
risks to the company from IP of third parties and steps to
be taken to avoid such risks.
The second session of the seminar on Analyzing Patentability
of inventions will be delivered by Mr. Nishant Kewalramani,
IP Portfolio Manager, Brain League IP services and alumni of
Pierce Law, USA. This session will deal with various aspects
on patentability of inventions, requirements for
patentability, and laws affecting the patentability of
inventions. This session will enable the participants to
evaluate the patentability of inventions in light of the
current legal standards
The next session on IP for Business advantage by Mr. Vijay
Kumar, Management Consultant in the area of Intellectual
Capital who will give an insight into the use of IP for
business advantage. In this session, the participants will
learn about various ways in which IP can add value to
businesses and the modes by which such value can be
obtained.
The final session Optimizing IP Protection by Mr.
Arun K Narasani,
